As part of an ongoing promise to deliver the best possible service to our clients, we’ve enabled a chat feature on our website.  To do this we have added our Skype chat links to the contact page of our website.  Test it for your self at www.protmc.com/contact.  If we are away from the computer when you Skype in, don’t worry-your message will come up when we return and you’ll get a reply.  If you do not already use Skype, you can download your own copy from our website as well.  It’s far more than a instant messaging tool.

If you are not familiar with Skype, let me take a moment to tell you why our office has been using it internally for the past year and personally with our friends and family.  

• Skype to Skype calls are FR*EE.  You can connect with other Skype participants via a webcam or computer microphone at no cost as well as use the instant messaging feature to chat.   

• For a small fee, you can add Skype Pro to make unlimited out going calls to landlines and cell phones for about $3.00 per month.  With a Skype In number, you can give that number out and accept calls there when at your PC or have them forwarded to another number when you’re unavailable.  There is also equipment priced very low that will enable you to dial from a regular household phone through your Skype account. 

• Skype for Mobile is a new feature that I am currently testing with my T-Mobile Wing.  With a Skype in and out (Skype Pro) account, you use the internet minutes on your phone, not cell minutes.  This is perfect for me since those are unlimited with my plan. In addition, it enables you to chat with others via Skype right from your mobile device.
